Study Bulb

Looking for a way to create a drill or practice activity for a spanish lesson. I found this great site Stydy Bulb. It lets you create your own flash cards so you can customize it and link it to the lessons. I am very excited to add this tool in my toolbox.

New Class

I have started my new class. So far has been a good experience. I have learned about new tools to use in the classroom, such as Adobe converter,and win zip. I know there would be more to come. Which I am very excited about.
I have also learned about instructional design. There is a lot of information in order to create a good instructional setting. Different activities that can be use depending on the topic.
So far so good. There is going to be more reading and more learning coming.

Social Bookmarking

This has been one my favorite new tools I have enjoyed using. I think that is a great idea to be able to have all my favorite websites in one place. They are all organized, and search able. Now I do not have to have my flash drive with me all the time in order to access my favorite sites.
After so many try outs I finally was able to understand how Ning works. I knew it was a great concept; but could not figure it out for some reason. Now I see how it can be a great tool to integrate in the classroom.
Now I am trying to learn more about RSS. I think I would benefit from it by having all the updates sent to me without searching 20 websites to get up to date on information I have interest on.
This week has been very productive, keeping up with all the different accounts I have.

Ning, PbWorks, Facebook

The past week has been quite interesting.I have been trying to figure out and develop different sites that can be helpful to use in the classroom.
I have enjoyed learning different things during this time.
The site I have found helpful to use in the classroom is the wiki.
This site can be use to post assignments, projects, events and syllabus of the class.
Students can collaborate during their projects.
Ning it is also an interesting site. Although I have not yet to get as familiar with it as I would like it.
Facebook is my favorite site for social networking. I keep up with my friends and family this way and it is very convenient.
This has been a very productive week.!!!

I have been using FB, for a year now, but just to connect wit friends, keep in touch with them and family. I never thought of using this tool for education purposes.I found very interesting the different applications that FB offer. These applications can be use with students, and i the classroom. I am also learning about the private settings and how to customize it. There is so much to learn and too little time!!!!

Technologies in the classroom

I created this blog because of a classroom assignment. I am not really familiar with blogging yet, bu I hope I start using this tool to my benefit.
This week I learned about creating a twitter account, and Blog acc. I have been reading about how to use pbwiki in the classroom. It is a very cool tool to stablish in a learning environment, but I would have to spend more time with it to get confortable using it.
I will be posting every week about what i have learned from my classes.
